Notice of Public Hearing on Realigning Councilmember Districts
According to the 2020 Federal Census data, the City of Bryan’s five councilmember districts are not of sufficiently equal population and must be redrawn in order to comply with the “one person, one vote” principle established by the U.S. Constitution. Therefore, the Bryan City Council will have to adopt new councilmember district boundaries.
A public hearing to gather public input regarding the proposed 2022 Redistricting Plan will be conducted on Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at 5:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Bryan Municipal Building, 300 South Texas Avenue, Bryan, Texas. The proposed 2022 Redistricting Plan will be available at the public hearing and can also be reviewed on the City’s website at www.bryantx.gov/redistricting. In addition to the public hearing, citizens can submit public comments for the Council’s consideration via email to mstratta@bryantx.gov, via fax at 979-209-5003, or to City Secretary’s Office, PO Box 1000, Bryan, TX 77805.

Aviso de Audiencia Pública sobre Realineación de los Distritos de Miembros del Concejal
De acuerdo con los datos del Censo Federal de 2020, los cinco distritos concejales de la Ciudad de Bryan no tienen una población suficientemente igual y deben rediseñarse para cumplir con el principio de “una persona, un voto” establecido por la Constitución de los Estados Unidos. Por lo tanto, el Concejo Municipal de Bryan tendrá que adoptar nuevos límites de distritos para concejales.
Se llevará a cabo una audiencia pública para recopilar comentario público referente la propuesta 2022 Plan de Reestructuración Distrital, el martes 8 de febrero de 2022, a las 5:30 p.m. en la Cámara del Concilio del Edificio Municipales de Bryan ubicado en 300 South Texas Avenue, Bryan, Texas. El 2022 Plan de Reestructuración Distrital propuesta estará disponible en la audiencia pública y también se puede revisar en el sitio web de la Ciudad en www.bryantx.gov/redistricting. Además de la audiencia pública, los ciudadanos pueden enviar comentarios públicos para la consideración por el Consejo por correo electrónico a mstratta@bryantx.gov, o por fax a 979-209-5003, o a City Secretary’s Office, PO Box 1000, Bryan, TX 77805.
