On Tuesday, July 4, City of Bryan offices will be closed in observance of Independence Day and will resume normal operating hours on Wednesday, July 5.
The following facilities will also be closed:
- Bryan Animal Center
- Coulter Field
- Neal Recreation Center
- Bryan + College Station Public Library System
- Public Works Call Center
Bryan Municipal Court
Closed July 4. Documents or payments due on July 4 will be accepted on July 5.
Animal Control
Animal Control Officers will be working from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on July 4. Call 979.361.3888 for animal control issues or for assistance after business hours.
Solid Waste Collections
Garbage, and brush and bulky collections, will run as normal.
The Used Oil and Tire Recycling Center will be open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Bryan Texas Utilities (BTU)
Closed July 4. To make a bill payment, call 979.821.5700 to use the automated voice service system, visit btutilities.com, or stop by a kiosk (please note, these locations may have separate holiday hours):
- H-E-B, Texas Avenue and State Highway 21
- H-E-B, 725 E. Villa Maria Road
- BTU office drive-through, 205 E. 28th St. (open 24 hours)

City Pools
Open on July 4. On July 4, first responders, military personnel, and frontline workers will receive free entry at all city pools.
- Bryan Aquatic Center, 1 – 7 p.m.
- Henderson Harbor, 1 – 7 p.m.
- Sadie Thomas Pool, noon – 5 p.m.
Reminder – Fireworks are illegal in Bryan
The possession, storage, sale, use and discharge of any type of fireworks are prohibited within Bryan city limits. This includes firecrackers, smoke bombs, fountains, sparklers, poppers, roman candles and other consumer-type fireworks.
