Get ready to step into better health with Walk with a Doc this fall! The Bryan Parks and Recreation Department, in collaboration with Baylor Scott & White, invites you to join us on select Saturdays from 9 to 10 a.m. at Tiffany Park, 3890 Copperfield Drive.
Adults 21 and older can enjoy doctor-led, walking groups in a friendly and supportive setting. It’s a great opportunity to get outdoors, improve your physical well-being, learn from healthcare professionals, and make new connections.
Here’s the Baylor Scott & White provider schedule:
- Aug. 24: Why Walk with a Doc? with Anu John, M.D., Family Medicine
- Sept. 28: Each Single Step in Life Makes a Difference with Grace Joseph, M.D., Hematologic Oncology
- Oct. 12: Making the Most of Your Doctor Visit with Amina Alikhan, M.D., Internal Medicine
- Nov. 9: Maintaining Joint Health and Preventing Injuries with Clarence Kee, M.D., Orthopedic Surgery
- Dec. 14: How to Incorporate Circuit Training into Your Walking Routine with Ana Whisenant and Andi Crawford, Physical Therapists
Participants will meet at the Tiffany Park Pavilion, located behind the basketball court. It’s free to participate, but registration is required, and all participants must complete a waiver on-site before joining the walk.
