Oil and Natural Gas Program

Activities associated with oil and gas exploration in Bryan (i.e., drilling, seismic testing, etc.) requires a City-issued permit. Water Services’ Environmental Compliance Team is responsible for ensuring ordinance requirements for these activities are met to ensure oil and gas activities do not adversely affect the quality of life for our citizens and businesses as a result of their operation.

Permit fees paid to the City are used to offset costs associated with inspection(s) and permit issuance for the desired activity.
