Arts and Culture Development Grant Application Open for Fiscal Year 2024/25

Organizations and community members who have a program or project designed to elevate the arts, culture, and tourism in our community are invited to apply for the City of Bryan’s Arts and Culture Development Grant.

The funding period is for the fiscal year 2024-2025 (Oct. 1, 2024 – Sept. 30, 2025).

Grants will be awarded based on eligibility and impact to Bryan, and are not to be used as ongoing funding to maintain or finance operations of an organization. Generally, grant amounts range from $2,500 to $25,000 based on a recommendation from the Arts and Culture Development Grant Review Committee.

In fiscal year 2024, the City of Bryan funded 17 different projects totaling about $150,000.

  • Brazos Valley African American Heritage & Cultural Society – Juneteenth Celebration Blues Festival
  • Brazos Valley African American Museum – Incorporating interactive communication for their galleries and exhibits
  • Brazos Valley Art League Inc. dba Visual Art Society – Plaques for the public art on the Aggieland Art Trail
  • Brazos Valley Chorale – Production of “Songs of the Traveler”
  • Brazos Valley Jazz Society – Brazos Valley Jazzfest
  • Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History – Exhibits and Boonville Days Festival
  • Children’s Museum of Brazos Valley – Innovation & Arts Programming
  • Degallery Corporation – DEGART 2024 International Grand Art Event
  • Heavy HD Production – Musician mentorship program
  • Lake Walk – Eats & Beats and The Local
  • Purple Turtle Art Studio – “Empowering Youth Through Public Art”; public painting by students at the Juvenile Services Academy
  • StageCenter – Funding for their 2023 – 2024 season performances
  • The Attic Antiques – High-quality mural facing Parker St.
  • The Queen’s Film Society – Texas Film Festival and Monthly Film Screenings
  • The Theatre Company of Bryan/College Station – Production of “Raise Your Voice”
  • Wreaths Across America Brazos Valley – Talking Tombstones

Applications must be submitted through the online portal by July 8. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

The grant is made possible through Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT) revenues, and may go towards a program or project that presents, performs, executes or exhibits music, dance, drama, art, creative writing, architecture, painting, sculpture, photography, motion pictures, and other various art forms.

Those interested must complete the online application by July 8.

For programs or projects falling within fiscal year 2025-2026 (Oct. 1, 2025 – Sept. 30, 2026), applications are anticipated to open in June/July 2025.
