Joining with The Texas A&M University System, Brazos County, and the City of College Station, the lawsuit filed in the 472nd Judicial District seeks a hearing to determine whether limits should be imposed on the export of groundwater from the Simsboro Aquifer, the water resource for all the Brazos Valley.

City offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, for Thanksgiving. If your regularly-scheduled container, brush or bulky collection is on Thursday or Friday, it will be collected the following day so our crews can enjoy the holiday with their families.

Smoke Testing to Begin the Week of Nov. 4 in South Bryan
Residents in areas of Bryan near West Villa Maria Road and North Harvey Mitchell Parkway, as well as Leonard Road and North Harvey Mitchell Parkway, may see smoke emanating from various locations beginning the week of Nov. 4.
Your Wastewater Fee is Based on Upcoming Water Use
The City of Bryan would like to remind customers that, per city ordinance, your wastewater fee is determined by your water usage for billing cycles that end in December, January and February.
Smoke Testing to Begin the Week of Oct. 28
Residents near South Texas Avenue may notice smoke in various areas starting the week of Oct. 28, as the City of Bryan conducts smoke testing on sanitary sewer lines.
Bryan residents will soon see construction begin in various portions of the city, as Metronet, Inc. starts to build out their fiber optic network in the community.
Network backbone construction will first begin the week of Dec. 6, 2021 near the area of 29th Street and Carter Creek Parkway. Additional areas in Bryan will see construction throughout the coming weeks and months.
Residents and businesses in areas where construction will take place will receive mailed notifications when MetroNet plans to be in their area. Once construction begins. residents can expect to see construction teams in and around neighborhoods completing both aerial and underground work. MetroNet team member uniforms and vehicles are clearly marked with the MetroNet logo, making them easy to identify.
MetroNet uses cutting-edge installation technology, while actively minimizing the impact on properties within the construction areas. In neighborhoods with utilities on overhead poles, MetroNet will use that existing infrastructure. In areas with underground utilities, MetroNet uses state-of-the-art horizontal underground drilling machines to bury the fiber cables.
