Elmo Weedon Road, from the intersection of FM 158/Highway 30 to the Bryan city limits (near the county maintenance sign), will be closed from Nov. 25 – 27, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. for road repairs.

City offices closed on Nov. 28 and 29 for Thanksgiving
City offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 28 and Friday, Nov. 29, for Thanksgiving. If your regularly-scheduled container, brush or bulky collection is on Thursday or Friday, it will be collected the following day so our crews can enjoy the holiday with their families.

Celebrate the season at Holiday Magic, returning for its 26th year on Thursday, Dec. 5, from 5:30 to 9 p.m. at Sue Haswell Memorial Park. Admission, activities, parking, and shuttle are all free! Pets are not allowed.
Smoke Testing to Begin the Week of Nov. 4 in South Bryan
Residents in areas of Bryan near West Villa Maria Road and North Harvey Mitchell Parkway, as well as Leonard Road and North Harvey Mitchell Parkway, may see smoke emanating from various locations beginning the week of Nov. 4.
PORTION OF WJB TO BE CLOSED STARTING JUNE 17
William J. Bryan Parkway will be closed to through traffic from N. Baker Avenue to N. Haswell Drive from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. beginning Monday, June 17. The closure is to allow TxDOT’s contractor to work on the west roundabout and is expected to last for 10 working days, weather pending.
The contractor will coordinate access with residents. Drivers are asked to pay attention to and abide by detour signage.

TWO RAILROAD CROSSINGS IN DOWNTOWN BRYAN TO BE CLOSED STARTING JUNE 20
Starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, Union Pacific Railroad’s contractors will be repairing the crossings at 28th Street and Bryan Avenue, and Parker Avenue and 27th Street. The estimated duration to complete the repairs is undetermined at this time. Detour routes will be posted on all approaches to help motorists navigate around the closures.
