- Uncover Lake Walk’s attractions, from walking trails, restaurants, live entertainment, and an observation tower boasting the best sunset views. Don’t miss their special events either, that includes yoga and other fitness sessions, Eats & Beats, Night Bazaar, and so on.
- Cool off at splash pads in Tanglewood Park, Tiffany Park, and Gloria Sale Stephen Sale Park, perfect for picnics and family fun. They are open daily from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., but remember, lifeguards are not on duty.
- Discover the rich heritage of African Americans at the Brazos Valley African American Museum, housing artifacts, oral history, and documenting life in the region. You’ll also learn that the museum is on the site of one of the first Black schools in the Brazos Valley and is a Texas Historical Landmark. During the entire month of June, admission is free in honor of Juneteenth.
- Make a splash at one of our pools – Bryan Aquatic Center, Henderson Harbor, and Sadie Thomas Pool – all offer water fun for all ages. Experience the thrill of water slides, leisurely dips, and explore the only diving board in town at the Bryan Aquatic Center. Don’t forget to check out their special events and aquatic programing offered by the Parks and Recreation Department.
- Enjoy the energetic atmosphere of Historic Downtown Bryan, where shopping, dining, and entertainment opportunities await. Don’t miss the excitement of First Fridays, The Farmers Market in Brazos County, Festa Italiana, Juneteenth Blues Fest, free summer family movies at The Queen Theatre, live music events at The Palace, and much more! Also, if you’re planning on attending Kyle Field to watch The King of Country, the huge soccer match, or SEC football games, take advantage of the shuttle for hassle-free transportation.
- Connect with exhibits delving into the natural world and culture of the Brazos Valley at the Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History. You’ll even discover special exhibits, featuring both traveling and in-house exclusive exhibits covering a diverse range of topics.

- All ages are invited to take a literary adventure through the Bryan + College Station Public Library System’s summer reading program equipped with reading challenges and the chance to win exciting prizes. There will also be a treasure trove of events and activities at Clara B. Mounce Library and Larry J. Ringer Library.
- Immerse yourself in historic research materials, artifacts, records, genealogy, and special collections at the Carnegie History Center. You’ll want to dive headfirst into the Genealogy Collection, a lively hub packed with invaluable information and resources for genealogical enthusiasts.
- Experience the magic of an outdoor movie night with the Bryan Parks and Recreation Department featuring familiar favorites. Whether under the moonlight at the park, at a nostalgic drive-in setting, or our inaugural poolside screening, each location offers a unique cinematic experience.
